Finnish resources in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register

The National Register

Nationally significant documentary and written cultural inheritance that may be in the possession of various organisations, communities or in some cases private persons, have been collected for the national Memory of the World Register

Documentary and written cultural heritage consists of individual documents or collections they constitute, the survival of which has significant and permanent value for a community, culture, nation, country or for all mankind. The register’s resources may include, for example, archive materials, collections of documents, publications, images or sound recordings.
